We made it

Well its been a while but we are now in oz woo hoo, things got very hectic before we flew so never got chance to write on my blog. Unfortunately house never sold so i gifted it back to mum so at least we have no ties and can start afresh. We stayed at peregian beach in a holiday let for 2 weeks and thanks to my lovely friend annie we have a stunning 4 bed rental right by the kids school for 12 months until we are ready to buy our own. Ryan started school the 3rd day we were here and he thoroughly enjoys it, it will take him time to build friendships but i'm sure he will get there in the end, ellie-mai has gone back to her old day care and her friends are still there so she is all settled and mark is on his second week into work and is loving being back, it feels like we have never been away. For those planning the move it really is quite stressful be prepared its not all fun and games when you arrive, i had to take a step back and remind myself i was no longer in the uk and things are done differently. Dont wait till the last minute to do things i.e centrelink, medicare as they can take up to 3 weeks to sort ours has only just come through now, same as electric, gas and internet get onto it straight away we waited 2 weeks for internet to get set up, be prepared to pay out money upfront its just the way they do things here, well now all thats done we are pretty much back to normal. Weather is amazing had 2 days of rain since we have been back, so everyday ive taken the kids to the park or beach and its been amazing to feel so alive and free again, i'm going try and not take it all for granted like last time and just enjoy life.

flights are booked!!

Well i've booked the flights finally, we fly 20th august via singapore and having a 14 hour stop in the airport hotel to try and grab some sleep etc before we fly to brisbane, so excited now. Boxes were delivered wednesday and ive got till thursday to pack so you can imagine the stress i'm feeling right now especially with 3 littlies running around. No news from house sale so i guess we will have to try and find something furnished as we wont have the money to buy furniture etc over there but thats becoming quite difficult as there isnt a lot and to stay long term in a hotel is going to cost a fortune, so just keeping fingers crossed that everything works out for the best. Got to ring agent on 2nd july to get matilda-rose's visa rushed thru not sure why its taking so long as everything was done in january, anyway i'm off to finish packing.

Paid deposit to the shippers!!

Well we have finally decided to just go for it, marks job really cant wait any longer its not fair on his employer so we are planning to fly in august woo hoo!!!. If the house doesnt sell in time before we leave i'm sure we will figure something out, things happen for a reason. Paid for the boxes today and they will be delivered next wednesday ready to be shipped out the end of june, all excited now but things are going to be very hectic around here. Just spoke to the estate agents and they have an open house this weekend so i'm praying someone puts an offer in, i have just found out that the couple that liked it wanted to put an offer in but put an offer on another house down the road, apparently its still in negotiation and they have 3 people fighting over this house and fortunately for us there offer is too low so if its not accepted they may come back to ours fingers crossed, which would be lovely as they have nothing to sell. Right then best get on ebay and start raising some funds for the move, and hopefully i'll be back with good news next week.
